OUR MISSION
What do we do?
We deliver handmade cards on special occasions such as holidays. By doing so, we hope to let our recipients realize that they are not forgotten or alone on that special day, and that so many people are celebrating right alongside them.
So, why don’t we choose to raise money for hospitals instead? Why not donate some much-needed medical supplies, or batches of freshly baked snacks? What about handmade holiday cards is so important, and how will they help make a difference?
Holidays are celebrated to give people a sense of belonging, or a day to express what is important to us. Some holidays help us celebrate generations of family by connecting us back to our history, and other holidays bring diverse groups of people together in harmony and peace. Spending one of these important days in a hospital ward can be particularly challenging, as people may feel left out of an important celebration, that only ever happens once in a year. OUR GOALS
What We Plan to Achieve (by December 22):
Of course, we will not stop working when these goals are met, as we hope that Lotus Cards will still continue to expand for years, or maybe even decades to come, forever extending the list of schools and hospitals/care homes we partner with, while finding new holidays to celebrate.
As we grow, this list of goals will grow and change alongside us, to serve as a reminder of the incredible things we were able to accomplish in the past, and the potential we have to keep making greater impacts on British Columbia’s future

Thanksgiving Card Delivery!
The Thanksgiving holiday always brings gratitude and thankfulness, and this year is no exception. With just 2 weeks of preparation, we managed to deliver almost 200 cards to 2 separate care homes in the greater Vancouver area. We spent many extra hours labeling and packaging all the cards into envelopes, but it was all worth…
